QAST welcomes Qatari and non-Qatari boys and girls who have a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). QAST students join us from many different school systems within Qatar as our curriculum offers both American Diploma and and UK A level qualifications. This opens up your options to study at any university, anywhere in the world.
To find out if you are a QAST student the best route is to apply for an interview today with our Principal to discuss what makes QAST the right fit for you. QAST students have a lot in common but these are the main key attributes:
If you can relate to the above, then you belong at QAST
Our ambition is to support Qatar’s growth and sustainability by developing leaders and innovators of the future. At QAST you will help solve some of Qatar’s, and the world’s, greatest challenges as part of your high school journey – no other school can do that. You will meet and network with world leaders and have countless opportunities to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios and evidence what you can do. QAST students have the opportunities to stand out and get to where they want to go.
In a lot of ways we are a regular high school with regular lessons and clubs in English, French, Arabic, social studies, maths, physics, chemistry, biology, computer sciences and engineering etc, but what makes us different is the way we teach. We know that one day our students will lead innovations in Qatar and the world and our unique curriculum delivery is specifically designed to help you do that. This is thanks to many factors including: small class sizes, like minded passionate students, specialist teachers, our unique CRISP Project Learning model and our Mastery Grading system that builds on your potential and confidence.
As a QAST student, you will create an impressive curriculum vitae whilst learning within one of Qatar’s most enriching educational communities, Qatar Foundation.
To join us we do not expect you to be achieving straight A’s in every subject, but we do run a challenging academic program and we need to know you have the potential to access it. Therefore, you will need to be able to evidence that you are currently working to (or above) your expected level for your grade in mathematics and English (speaking, reading, and writing). Currently the way to do this is to provide your MAP results or any other academic evidence you have gained so far, including transcripts and school reports (we realise these documents are different for each curriculum) . The QAST program is fun, enriching and full of practical and project led teaching but it is also academically rigorous and our students want to learn – the right attitude and ambition is given as much attention at your interview, as your academic potential.
If this sounds good then you belong at QAST!
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our family. Visit our Admissions page to start your QAST journey with us.
