The Qatar Academy for Science and Technology is one of Qatar Foundation’s newest specialty high schools. We opened our doors to students in August 2018 and we will add a grade level each year.
Working at QAST is exciting and not your usual working experience. To date, all of the teachers that are hired want to be on the ground floor of creating a new school. They are creative, willing to take risks, collaborative, and flexible.
Successful teachers at QAST arrive with a love for their students and impressive student learning results, are masters of their content, and understand that their content is valued more by students when it is in the context of other content areas.
The ‘QAST Way’ succeeds when teachers collaborate effectively to bring rigorous, interrelated problem-based, real world problem solving to some of Qatar’s greatest challenges. We utilize mastery learning practices, rubrics for assessment, and PBIS behavioral methods. Please be prepared to provide us with a portfolio of your assessments if asked for an interview.

Our hiring process is a rolling process where we only stop once we have found the very best candidate. We prefer a cover letter that reflects your background and relates to the mission of QAST and a one-page (front and back) resume with active referee contact numbers. On the basis of these two documents, we will invite you to a screening interview. This can be done online.
